As I wrote a review the other day on Jenny Colgan’s first book of her series ‘Class’ I thought I’d do a little giveaway for someone to win a copy! I just started the second one last night so hope to post a review of that one soon.

The books are about a girls boarding school in Cornwall and follow the lives of the pupils and the teachers as the school year goes on. For a chance to win leave a comment below telling me what kind of books you usually like to read and also include some way to contact you should you win eg email address or twitter. The giveaway will end on the 28th February and is open to UK residents only – Good luck!

Please note that for me to be able to run a giveaway the copy of the book may not always be brand new.

I read many different genres but particularly like dystopian fiction such as Orwell’s, Nineteen Eighty Four and Huxley’s, Brave New World. Thanks for the chance to win. Good luck everyone 🙂

I love books by Jenny Colgan, Sophie Kinsella and when I facy a bit of crime fiction, Patricia Cornwell. This is exactly the kind of book I would chose for myself as it’s set in Cornwall, my favourite place in the world

I love to read lots of authors – Martina Cole, Lynda La Plante, James Patterson, Carol Matthews, Jodi Picoult so it would be great to add a new author to my reading list

Hi Christine, if you wanted to give Jenny a try I would really recommend her book ‘Meet Me At The Cupcake Cafe’ – it was my first read of hers and I loved it! You can get a used copy off amazon for about £2 🙂 Let me know what you think if you do!

I’ve only just got back into reading as I found I had so little time when the children were younger and simply got out of the habit as they got a bit older. So I have some serious catching up to do and I’m finding interest in many more genres than I did before. I love a crime thriller, I still love the classics, I still like a good romance as long as it isn’t too cheesy. Basically anything that catches my eye, at the moment!

I love to read all sorts, my favourite kind are true stories, reading how people overcome the bad things in life! Inspirational

I like to vary the books I read, from chick lit to scandi thrillers, just finished cartes Postale by Victoria Hiislop and now going to read an Elizabeth George Inspector Linley. Always my head in a book thats me.

  7. Victoria Cunniff says:

I usually read chick lit as I find it easy to pick up and put down, especially when I have a little girl nattering in my ear 🙂 However I do like a good detective/ crime book as well from time to time – my husband picked up one I was reading yesterday and commented on how he never knew I liked books like that – I’ve only been with him 10 years lol

  8. Patricia Avery says:

I have had a lifelong passion for books and read a lot from many different genres. There are not many I don’t enjoy with the exception of sci-fi. However one of the best reads last year was SevenEves and it was…….sci-fi 🙂
